I am loving these two linen throw pillows that Mom made out of my Fog Linen towels. It took some coaxing and a few pre-dinner snacks, but we managed to turn them out (zippers and all) before our reservation at Philoxenia.

My mother and I found a great deal on a Pfaff sewing machine this past weekend and so we've been pulling together a few unfinished projects that I had lying around—namely, some lovely linen table napkins and a few printed tea towels from Lena's workshop a year and a half ago.

We have been so busy organizing, restructuring, and rearranging things to make sure that the house runs a bit more more smoothly. She's been such a huge help, especially since M is on her way. And don't worry, we've taken her kayaking, walking, shopping, dining, and garden hopping too—she's not here to work!

I love all of the color possibilities that one has when putting together a quilt and the idea of a history and storyline that exists behind a quilt or any hand-crafted object for that matter. But I especially love these quilts that were put together by the collective efforts of the women from Gee's Bend, Alabama. The colors and textures of pattern are just gorgeous. More here.
