I recently had a painting of M's framed. I spotted it tucked in the walls of her studio and she amazingly let me bring it home in my suitcase.

It's really lovely and I'm happy to finally have it framed and up on the wall. Thank you again M!

Real spiderwebs caught on glass. Emil “Rocky” Fiore catches the meticulous webs of many different species of spiders that make their home off the Hudson Piers. The webs are "caught" in an unusual way—and there's a video of the process:

The quilts I was looking through the other day made me think of the great colors in Elizabeth Schuppe's paintings. I love the abstraction that she creates while maintaining a feeling of warmth and emotion. The middle one reminds me of dining with my favorite conversationalist, best friend, and love, A.

I just saw these lovely Charley Harper murals on Black*Eiffel. They are located in the John Weld Peck Federal Building in Cincinnati, OH. According to this website, "The murals, completed in 1964, are each 18 by 10.5 feet, and contain over 100 creatures in Harper’s signature graphic style. His iconic cardinal, an alligator and a mountain lion are just a few of those rendered in ceramic tile and plastic strips."

I love to peek inside people's work spaces, but I love to see the inside of people's kitchens even more. It's so intimate.

The other day, as we were strolling through the Kazimierz section of Krakow, we stumbled into the handmade consignment shop called the Maruna Galeria. Inside, there was a rather interesting soft plush installation by artist Paulina Poczęta.

According to the shopkeeper, the artist started out making little plush creatures from fabric scraps that would resemble her friends. Ultimately, she had quite the collection.

The photos above capture a few of my favorites from the installation, although the first was found via Maruna Galeria.

Maruna Galeria offers handmade jewelery, clothing, and other goods that are made from recycled materials. Consignment costs are pretty low at 5 zł (at the moment, roughly $2.25 USD) so most of the proceeds from the sale of an item will go to benefit the local artist.

Le Havre’s first Contemporary Art Biennale, welcomes the installation of a pop art piece from Claude Cormier Landscape Architects. The piece entitled "Pergola" is
"a tribute to Le Havre-born Monet, forefather of impressionism: 90,000 plastic balls are arranged into an image of the wisteria blooms that figure in many of the artist’s oeuvres. The balls come in five tones - an abstracted impressionist palette – and climb towards the abundant sunlight, creating an exuberant play of colour, light and shadows underneath."

I'd love a stroll beneath the hanging juxtaposition of the natural/faux plastic wisteria. A fine place for a fashion editorial.

Jean-Philippe Delhomme is a prolific name in the world of illustration often described as the French answer to the cartoons that appear in the New Yorker. His work is world-renown in a range of media—from chic print ads for Saab to the latest in boutique campaigns for Barney’s and fashion advertising.

Drawing from the trials of modern society—the design addict cautiously circling the latest modern furniture piece in an upscale boutique or the urbane sophisticate offering a live chicken as a museum showpiece to his child—Delhomme finds the humor in all that surrounds him. It is no surprise with the charm and quick-wit of his illustrations that he finds his work in high-demand.

Jean-Philippe Delhomme has created volumes of illustrated work, animated television commercials, as well as having written a childrens’ book Visit to Another Planet alongside two fully-illustrated novels. He delights in his children and his studio on the Left Bank in Paris.
