The perfect "get-well" present--the chocolate chip cookie. I've been wanting to try this recipe ever since reading this article in The New York Times and now that Molly has raved about them--I knew the days were numbered until I tested them out.

And after finding out that my friend just had surgery on her ankle--I'm sure she's in need of a visit with some baked goods in hand.

Kastina: You're welcome! The whole key to this recipe is the self-restraint to keep the cookie dough in the fridge for upwards of 24 hours without scooping into balls and baking. Just think--the longer you wait, the more caramel and toffee notes that you will taste.

Oh, see I didn't know how important that was, thanks! This is great!
