Ahoy! Away we go on our sea-faring way. We will be setting our compasses and heading north from Longyearbyen, Norway (orange dot on map) to the Arctic sea. I cannot wait to share our photographs and memories from one of the biggest adventures we've had yet.

This weekend we will be preparing for our Arctic voyage to Sweden, Norway, Greenland, and Iceland. My bags are prepped and ready for some adventure dry fit clothing and a really good eye mask for the negative 5 hours of darkness that we will have to contend with.

We are beginning to plan our summer holiday and it looks as though A's photography will take us on an seaside expedition of the high Arctic from Norway, circumnavigating Spitzbergen to Greenland and finally to Iceland for about 3 weeks. We will live minimally in a cabin aboard a ship of about 50 other photographers/crew members. I'm starting to think about books--mainly which of the great classics should accompany me during my time with the rolling waves, the icebergs, the creatures, and the big blue sea.
