I'm head over heels in love with my new socks from Alder & Co. by Antipast.
It felt so sweet to march around in them heralding spring with my clogs and fluffy, pink Muji scarf.

I like these limited edition Baggu tote bags made in collaboration with Brooklyn artist Shabd Simon-Alexander. Shabd employs tie-dyeing techniques to create the most unique and lovely patterns and color palettes. I'm especially taken with this dress.. well ok and this top too.

Fall is here—short days, chilly nights, and lots of warm thoughts of home. This fall it would be really wonderful to have:
Soft blanket throws for our couch
One pot wonders in a cheery holiday green
a beautiful cross-body leather bag

It's snowing again and all of the sidewalks are covered in 6 inches of slush. I'd love to be at the Hotel la Coluccia in Santa Teresa di Gallura reading a book underneath the tall wirey Mediterranean trees in this fantastic dress by Boessert-Schorn.

The Selby illustrates the very fashionable zoological set wearing this season's fashions for Dossier magazine. Love!
His style kind of reminds me of Jean-Philippe Delhomme.

A traditional Japanese garment, the yukata (浴衣), fashioned with a rocker sensibility. Natsuki Shigeta launched her collection called Tsukikageya in 2004. More here.

i am in love with everything Caitlin Mociun creates. Her line "Mociun" [pronounced "mo-shen"] never ceases to amaze me with great patterns that resemble ikats, Bauhaus prints, and fine line drawings.
She bases her line on the Bauhaus principle of combining the art(s) and craft(s) and also draws inspiration from Karl Blossfeldt's plant photography.
Not only are her prints hand-blocked, but she uses sustainable materials like organic cotton and bamboo.
Now you can purchase her collection online.
Thanks for the tip!

I cannot wait to pick up a few more things for fall.
I feel a bit unprepared for the chill in the air, the wind kicking up, and the sky turning all shades of grey.

Acne jeans and Lanvin collaborate on the A/W 2008 denim collection set to hit Barneys in early November. I love that outfit on the right!

Masters at work

I have always been curious about the goings-on inside the couture houses of Paris. Whenever I see shots from the workshops of the fabric draping forms, silks and satins furled and unfurled about the cutting tables, the talented seamstresses and dress-makers zipping about the room clutching trims, baubles, and buttons—I swoon.

a shoe-in

What shoe will I be coveting most this summer?
3.1 Phillip Lim's new collaboration with Tatami of Birkenstock has produced this season's must-have sandals. They have an overall great design with fun materials and deliver notable comfort. I especially like the pony hair cheetah print option above.
I cannot wait to slip them on and conquer my very own urban jungle.
