It's the start of a whole new month with lots of plans to visit family on both coasts. I'll be back in New York quite soon. I'm a little apprehensive about returning to the city, but so excited to see my sister and parents.

There is so much beauty up on this mountain—so many different hues of green.

Even the chores are wonderful like feeding the chickens to lure them inside the coop and planting new basil for future pasta dishes.

I'm always so happy to be here.

Today we awoke in Napa to spend a few days with A's parents before driving up the coast of California towards Portland. It's so nice to be without the weight and stress of our cross-country move for a few days and simply focus on family, good weather, and bud break.
