One of the first things on the list to visit in Tokyo was the Tsukomo cheese ramen shop in the Ebisu neighborhood. Their ramen is quite unusual as it is topped with both corn and a very light, powdery cheese from Hokkaido. The cheese is very mild and melts when it falls below the tonkotsu (pork bone broth). This style of ramen is unheard of in Japan and when you explain it to a native, you almost always get a look of surprise and interest. It's salty, rich, and absolutely delicious. I'll bet that we have it once more before we fly on to Malaysia.
