I would say that it's worth it to make sure that your hotel offers breakfast in Japan. It would seem that breakfast eateries are few and far between, at least in our neighborhood in Shibuya, and it's always good to start the day right and without any belly-aching.

Luckily, our hotel serves a very nice Western breakfast with eggs, salads, fruits, yogurt, and two types of bacon preparation: crispy and chewy. I love a country that thinks to give you a choice of time spent sizzling in a pan.
