It is news to no one that knows me, that I love coffee—not just any type of coffee, but a fruity, full-bodied, and nuanced cup of coffee from my favorite coffee place in SF, Blue Bottle. And although it is a bit disappointing that they have finally decided to move a roasting facility to NYC, just in time for me to make the move to the west coast, I will be moving to one of the top US cities for a good cup of coffee. The hands-down favorite around here is Stumptown and I must say, that they provide a fantastic cup of direct-trade, micro-roasted coffee.

Editor's Note: No matter how you choose to brew your coffee (and there are a number of ways), you must obtain a conical burr grinder in order to fully recreate a good cup of coffee at home.
