Speaking of sweets, I was reminded of my trip to Japan this morning while having some green tea and these very attractive macha tea sweets from Sfera in Kyoto. These simple confections are enjoyed during the traditional Japanese tea ceremony to sweeten the palate while drinking the somewhat bitter matcha from the chawan (tea bowl).
