M emailed me some photos of a mass migration of stingrays that someone spotted while looking for Whale sharks off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula. The photographer said of this magnificent event, “The surface of the water was covered by warm and different shades of gold and looked like a bed of autumn leaves gently moved by the wind.”
I'd love to see what illustrator Julia Rothman would do for these stingrays.
In other news, I’m leaving tomorrow to scuba dive in Turks & Caicos. I’m certain that a little sun and some tropical heat will revive my frozen fingers and inspire some new and exciting posts.
