Today we waited on a very long line to see the Emperor on his birthday at the palace in Tokyo. Although he's been ill as of late, he seemed healthy and very excited to see the big crowds that gathered beneath him in the gardens. With Japanese flags waving, and the crowds screaming out--it was quite the spectacle!
