Inspired by Karl Blossfeldt's photography, and the earthy colors of my new Mociun skirt, I've photographed some of our plants in the kitchen. It's very cheerful to see these flowerpots in the mornings when the sun casts its rays over the black tar rooftops as far as the eye can see.

Granted, the plants I keep are low-maintenance, but green thumbs run in my family. My father has run a very successful vegetable garden and compost system since I can remember, certainly before it was cool to be green. And the attentiveness that my grandparents have shown theirs inspires people for miles to take the scenic walk passed their home. In fact, my grandparents only visit us one at a time, so that someone is always home to tend to the garden.

Oh the joys of gardening!
